World Class Netball Player Kim Ravaillion
Kim Ravaillion is widely acknowledged as the fittest player in world netball. Having made the centre bib very much her own for the Australian Netball Diamonds in recent seasons, Ravaillion has consolidated her credentials as a genuine Australian sports star.
Growing up in the inner western suburbs of Sydney, Kim always had a love of sport and began playing netball at the age of seven. She followed the representative pathways through the junior ranks before earning a NSW Institute of Sport Scholarship in 2010. In that same year, Ravaillion was awarded the Western Sydney Academy of Sport ‘Netball Athlete of the Year’. She earned State selection for the NSW 19/U team in 2011 and her performance at the National Netball Championships earned her selection for the Australian 19/U Netball squad, and later, the Australian 21/U Netball team.
It was 2012 that would be Ravaillions’ breakout year in the senior ranks. Having been named the ‘Most Valuable Player’ at the 19/U National Netball Championships, Kim earned a contract with the Queensland Firebirds and selection in the Australian Fast5 Flyers to compete in the World Netball Series in England.
