Vixens Netball Captain Kate Moloney
Northern Nissan Ambassador
The 24-year old Victorian was handed leadership responsibilities by ex-Diamond and coach Simone McKinnis for the Melbourne Vixen’s inaugural season of the new league. Moloney has rewarded that faith with her exceptional form, leading her young side to the minor premiership.
Moloney has already won a competition with the Vixens in 2014 when they took out the ANZ Championship. The young dynamo from Diamond Creek had caught the attention of national selectors at the 19/U National Netball Championships just one year earlier, when she was recognised as tournament MVP.
Moloney’s underage representative honours were unmatched by her peers. She was Captain of the 19/U Victorian State team and Vice Captain of the 19/U Australian side. She also represented Victoria and Australia at 21/U level. She has been a mainstay of the Australian Fast5 Flyers since that format was introduced on the international stage.
